After Oulu in 2013, the premiere wintertime active transportation conference went to Canada in February 2014! WCC in Winnipeg was an idea-packed sessions full of projects, unique best practices research, interactive workshops, lively discussion and fun evening activities. Some 250 professionals and delegates from snowy countries around the world gathered to share their skills and knowledge in order to create, promote, maintain and sustain vibrant bike-friendly cities through out the year.
WCC in Oulu, Finland 2013. Winter Cycling Congress 2013 in Oulu Finland, was the first international cycling conference concentrating on winter cycling issues since VeloBorealis in Trondheim in 1998. The two day event gathered 150 professionals from 10 different countries.
For the year 2015 Winter Cycling Congress is coming back to Europe, this time to Netherlands! The 3rd Winter Cycling Congress 2015 LEEUWARDEN is about uniting hearty souls from communities of all climates, sizes and levels of bicycle development who share the ambition to make two-wheeled travel normal, even when the snow flies. More than 300 winter cycling enthusiasts are expected in LEEUWARDEN next February.
